This page explains how to delete a Shareways account and what happens to your data. Shareways is a carpool app for passengers and captains in Pakistan (Android package com.app.carpool).

How to delete your account in the app
 If you can still open Shareways:

  1. Open the Shareways app and sign in.
  2. Tap the menu (three lines) to open the drawer.
  3. Tap Delete account.
  4. Confirm the warning. If you signed up with email and password, enter your password when asked.

Account deletion starts immediately after you confirm. This cannot be undone.

If you cannot open the app
 Uninstalling Shareways does not delete your account. If you cannot sign in, request deletion through the developer contact on the Shareways listing on Google Play. Include the email address or phone number used for the account.

We aim to complete email deletion requests within 14 days.

Data we delete
 When your account is deleted, we remove:

  • Your Shareways / Firebase Authentication account
  • Profile details (name, email, phone, gender, age, occupation, address)
  • Profile photo, NIC / CNIC images, driving licence images, and vehicle photos
  • Rides you created, seat requests, and in-app messages we can still access
  • Captain application records tied to your account

Data that may be kept

  • Encrypted backups may retain copies for up to 30 days, then they are overwritten.
  • We may keep limited records if required for legal, safety, fraud, or dispute reasons. Those records are kept only as long as needed.
  • Other users may still see past trip history on their own device or account until that data is separately removed.
